Hello and Welcome!

I'm Amber (she/her). I'm an experienced counsellor with over 20 years of practice experience. Utilizing empowering counselling approaches, I support individuals to rediscover their strengths, draw on their community of support, and experience more joy in their lives.
I have a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), and am registered with the BC College of Social Workers (RSW).

I engage in regular professional development, and have training from the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy,
the Centre for Expressive Play Therapy, the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute and Cognitive Behaviour Training through Laurier University.
I specialize in working with neurodivergent children and youth, but delight in accompanying people of all ages on their therapeutic journey. My approaches include sandtray work, art mediums, story-telling, neuroscience-based education, and generally creative approaches to challenging problems. I am honoured to serve as a companion and guide in this transformative journey of expression and transformation; from uncertainty to connection to self and others.
I have a wealth of experience supporting folks in many settings, with challenges including anxiety, emotional dysregulation, adjustment to diagnosis, grief and loss, building confidence and self-compassion, increasing social skills, and navigating life's transitions.
